Year-Round Citizen Action

A promise becomes meaningful when it becomes action.

Climate Promise is Purple Umbrella Foundation's citizen action initiative, designed to make climate action simple, personal and measurable. It begins with a commitment: individuals choose practical actions they can take in their everyday lives and make a climate pledge.

The Journey

Scan → Choose → Pledge → Act → Measure

Participants can choose actions relevant to their everyday lives — from reducing waste and avoiding single-use plastics to adopting more sustainable habits.

1

2

Pick practical actions relevant to your life.

3

Make a personal climate commitment.

4

Act

Put the pledge into everyday practice.

5

Measure

See how individual choices add up.

The goal is not to create another campaign where people simply click a button. The goal is to create a growing community of people who make conscious choices and see how individual actions can contribute to collective impact.

Measuring Action

Participation should be visible

Our platform is designed to track and communicate collective action through indicators such as:

People Participating
Schools & Communities Engaged
Geographies Represented
Plastic Bottles Avoided

These indicators show the shape of what Climate Promise will report once the tracking platform is live — figures are intentionally left blank rather than estimated. Any CO₂ or environmental-impact figures shown in future will be clearly labelled as estimates, with the calculation methodology explained alongside them.

Because climate action becomes more meaningful when people can see what their collective choices are adding up to.
